Makeover at YUE (Your Ultimate Experience)

Hello lovelies, how you all are doing??

Many of you must be knowing that I recently got an invitation from YUE (Your Ultimate Experience) Wellness Salon. It is in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. This was my first bloggers meet. Indeed I was excited as it was another makeup session for me. Other bloggers and I were all invited to cover the session.
A very known term used for the person who does your makeup is “Makeup man” but nowadays there is no makeup man anymore. There are MAKEUP ARTISTS. Last time when I volunteered for a makeover at a salon (here) I learnt many tips and tricks regarding makeup. Makeup is an art. It is like how cleanly you paint or beautify your object using cosmetics. And that what artists do. The makeup artists use different range of cosmetics and they all have their own unique style to do makeup and are best in their work. There are different ways to do makeup. Variety of cosmetics are available in the market and how cleverly these artists use them you cant even imagine. This time at YUE I learnt several new tips about how to apply foundation, mascara, and all. Let me tell you one thing honestly that this salon has best makeup artist in the town.
The makeup expert Lucky, showcased two different kinds of makeup on my fellow bloggers Saakshee and Poorvi. There was a drastic change in their looks. Saakshee and Poorvi both volunteered for traditional and gothic cum smokey look respectively.

What I learnt here was, we should first do our eye makeup because if anything goes wrong we can simply wash it off. Also, while applying eye shadows, particles of it settles on our cheeks and at the area below eyes. So better do your eye makeup first.
Lucky, makeup artist, started with eye makeup. Saakshee’s eyes were contoured. Contouring means enhancing facial features. Basically, bridge of nose, cheekbones, jaw line, and brow bones are contoured. Contouring highlights your features and makes your look beautiful without any surgery. So brow bones of Saakshee were highlighted that gave her a magnificent look. Next step was eye shadow. Rose gold shade and nude shade was used for this purpose. For eye liner Maybelline Gel Liner was applied. As her look was Indian, there could have been nothing better than winged liner. Maybelline Hyper Curl mascara was applied.
For the face, using two tone darker Kryolan foundation was used for contouring of the forehead, cheek bones, bridge of the nose and jaw line. After that MAC Foundation was used as a base. What’s there to keep in mind is, we all should know how base is applied. Dab slowly and blend it completely for an even tone. Many of us found blending difficult but we can only learn by practicing, applying cleanly so that it doesn’t get cakey. Then Studio Fix Fluid was used that made her skin glow and shine.
Last but not the least, red lip colour of Milani Lipsticks was applied. Though Milani is a local brand but it gives matte finish and dries off quickly.
That was all this Indian makeover. Saakshee looked really pretty in her ankle length frock suit and side messy bun.

Starting with the eye makeup again, firstly Lucky applied primer. Primer not only help your makeup long last but also saves your skin from any kind of acnes or pimples. There was no need of uplifting Poorvi’s eyes because they are already lifted. Poorvi has very thin brows and therefore brow jel and brow pencil were used to make it look thicker. Two different shades of eye shadows were used. One was golden brown shade and the other was black. Remember :
1. While applying mascara on the upper lashes, do it in upward strokes and then downward strokes.
2. In order to curl up your lashes, slowly rotate the wand while applying mascara.
Secondly, the base makeup was done by using – Kryolan foundation (Kryolan is a known brand that is used by professionals). Kryolan Derma Colour was used as a base foundation. Derma color is long lasting.
Next step was contouring. For contouring darker shade of Kryolan foundation was used. Again I would like to tell you that contouring means highlighting facial features such as nose, cheek bones, and jaw line.
For lips, Poorvi preferred nude shades. So Mac pro lipstick in a peachy tone was applied on her lips. A peach blush was used to make her cheeks shine.

That was all for this post. Hope you guys liked my post. I suggest you all to try these two different types of makeup as soon as possible.
