“Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live.”
How are you all? Hope you had Shubh Navratris and a great time at Pujo. I wish this festive season goes great and only happiness comes your way. India is known all over the world for its diversity in culture, religions and traditions. We Indians enjoy festivals celebration almost every month. Since many festivals are coming and few already gone, an ethnic wear post was mandatory. So, here I am with one of those.
When it comes to traditional wear, Anarkalis have remained prominent. Therefore I picked an off-white Anarkali Churidaar set from All About You From Deepika Padukone (a brand which is Deepika Padukone’s fashion label and as stated by her, the collection depicts the mix of “comfortable, romantic, feminine and fun”). The collection is all about pastel color dresses, floral prints and a bit of bohemian touch dresses. You can go through the collection exclusively on Myntra.
Talking about my attire, this off-white suit is all you need to look gorgeous yet simple at the same time. This dress is highly comfortable because of the cotton fabric. I personally like this dress because it is lightweight, extremely elegant and also when it comes to any occasion, the sparkling golden floral patch work and pastel color glamorizes one’s look.
Take a look of my style –
Coming to the accessories part, bangles play very important part whenever one wears ethnic. So golden metal bangles and golden jhumkas were the perfect match to my attire. I wore these bangles only in my right hand and not in left as I feel it would have looked too much. Also, I can’t forget to mention that my earrings might look heavy but trust me it is featherweight.
After attending and going through lot of sessions of how to apply makeup, (here) this time finally I applied a lot of makeup. Maybe it’s not “lot of” but it is absolutely enough to me. After walking the ramp for an event in my city, I realized that I look good in straight hair too (self-obsessed 😛 ) and therefore this time I straightened my hair before the shoot. But my hair are stubborn more than me and at the time of shoot, hardly any strand lasted straight. 🙁 In the end, Beige colored wedges completed my whole look.
That was all for this one. Stay connected and keep supporting me like this always.
Until next time, lots of love. :*
